The Mars M10585 is a 1/3 horsepower furnace blower motor.

Blower wheel condition affects airflow as much as the motor does, and a motor replacement is the natural opportunity to address it.

A blower wheel accumulates dust and debris on its blades, particularly on systems that have run without adequate filtration. The accumulation changes the blade profile, unbalances the wheel, and reduces the air the wheel moves. A heavily loaded wheel can lose a substantial fraction of its capacity.

The symptoms mirror those of a failing motor: reduced airflow, high temperature rise on heating, and a coil that ices on cooling. Fitting a new motor to a loaded wheel resolves none of it.
