The Loctite LOC235005 is a silver grade anti-seize that will not evaporate or harden in extreme cold or heat, 1 lb brush top.

The claim about not evaporating or hardening deserves attention, because it names the actual failure mode of anti-seize in service. A conventional grease-carried compound in a hot assembly loses its carrier — the grease bakes off — and what remains dries into a hard crust that does not lubricate and does not release. A compound that has hardened in a joint is worse than none, because someone will assume the fastener is protected.

The metal particles are what still work after the carrier goes, which is why anti-seize contains them. A formulation stable across a wide temperature range keeps its carrier and stays workable.

Silver grade is the general-purpose formulation — typically an aluminium and copper blend with graphite — covering the broadest range of ordinary work.

What anti-seize prevents is galling: the cold-welding of thread flanks under torque, which makes a fastener seize solid and shear rather than unscrew. Stainless is notoriously prone to it.

The point that belongs on every anti-seize: it is a lubricant. A lubricated fastener reaches a given tension at far lower torque than a dry one, so torquing to the dry specification over-tensions and can snap it. Use the lubricated figure.
