Justrite JUS26800D Original Smoker's Cease-Fire Cigarette Butt Receptacle

The Justrite JUS26800D is an Original Smoker's Cease-Fire cigarette butt receptacle, 4 gallon capacity, with bucket included, in poly, Deco Black.

A cigarette receptacle sounds like housekeeping and is actually fire prevention. A discarded cigarette is a live ignition source, and the places people smoke — outside a building, near a door, next to a bin — are exactly the places where an open bin of paper waste sits. Fires started this way are common enough that fire codes address them specifically.

The Cease-Fire design addresses it by starving the fire. The receptacle restricts airflow to the contents, so a lit butt among hundreds of others goes out rather than smouldering into the collected material. That is the entire proposition: a container that cannot sustain a fire.

The included bucket is a practical feature that decides whether the unit gets emptied. Emptying a receptacle full of butts is unpleasant, and if it requires scooping, it gets deferred. An inner bucket lifts out.

Poly construction resists weather, which matters for a unit that lives outdoors permanently.

The 4 gallon capacity suits a designated smoking area rather than a doorway.

Applications include building entrances, designated smoking areas, plants, hospitals, hospitality, and campuses.

Deco Black is the finish — a receptacle at a building entrance is seen by visitors.
