This pairs an auto-darkening filter with Jackson's narrow HSL shell, and that combination is aimed squarely at confined space work.

The reason is worth spelling out. A welder inside a vessel or between structural members already has the hardest job in the shop. A passive hood makes it harder: every weld requires positioning the electrode blind, then nodding the hood down without moving.
