The DiversiTech 6277NX is a flag style female quick disconnect terminal for 16 to 14 gauge conductors, sized for a .250 inch tab.

The flag geometry routes the conductor at ninety degrees to the tab rather than in line with it. That configuration exists to solve a specific and frequent problem: components mounted close to a cabinet wall, panel, or adjacent device leave insufficient depth behind the terminal for a conductor to exit straight. Contactor terminals against a mounting plate, capacitor studs in a shallow compartment, and switches recessed in a bracket all present this constraint, and a flag terminal makes the connection possible without forcing the conductor into a tight bend that stresses the crimp.

The .250 inch tab is the predominant quick disconnect size in HVAC equipment, appearing at contactors, capacitors, transformers, switches, and motor leads.
