DiversiTech Wire Terminal Compressor. Flag F. 12-10

The DiversiTech 6259CX is a non-insulated compressor flag female quick disconnect terminal for 12 to 10 gauge conductors, intended for power connections at compressor terminals.

The 12-10 gauge range places this terminal on compressor common, start, and run conductors for residential and light commercial equipment, where the connection carries full compressor running current. That current is precisely why the termination matters: a loose or poorly crimped connection at a compressor terminal generates heat at a location that is already hot, and the resulting failure sequence, rising resistance and falling contact pressure, ends in a burned terminal, a damaged fused glass bushing, and in the worst case a refrigerant leak at the terminal plate.

The flag geometry directs the conductor at ninety degrees to the tab. In the shallow, tightly packed compressor terminal box, this is often the only configuration that allows the connection to seat properly and the cover to close without bearing on the conductors.

The uninsulated barrel suits the elevated temperature at the compressor shell, where sleeved terminals degrade, and accepts high temperature heat shrink or terminal boots.

Crimping 12 and 10 gauge requires a tool with real mechanical advantage. Confirm every crimp with a pull test.

Never energise a compressor with the terminal cover removed. Applications include air conditioning, heat pump, and refrigeration compressor terminations and confined component wiring.
