DiversiTech Terminal Fork 16-14 6274LX

The DiversiTech 6274LX is an insulated fork terminal for 16 to 14 gauge conductors, providing a screw landing that can be made without removing the fastener.

The open fork slides in from the side, so the terminal screw need only be loosened to land or lift a conductor. On terminal strips carrying many closely spaced screws, and in panels where a removed screw is likely to disappear into equipment, that difference accumulates into meaningful time saved across a service life.

Retention is the corresponding limitation. A fork can work free if the screw loosens, which is why fork terminals must not be used on equipment grounding conductors, and should not be used where an unnoticed disconnection would create a hazard or a difficult intermittent fault. Ring terminals are correct in those positions.

The 16-14 gauge range covers control circuits, fan and blower leads, capacitor wiring, and light power connections, which is the bulk of what lands on terminal strips and control boards in HVAC equipment.

The insulating sleeve covers the crimp barrel and part of the conductor jacket, guarding against incidental contact in a crowded cabinet and providing limited strain relief. Blue identifies the 16-14 range.

Applications include control panel and terminal strip landings, control board connections, equipment interface wiring, and general HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical installation. Crimp with a ratcheting tool and confirm with a pull test.
