DiversiTech Contactor 3P 90A 120V TMX390B2

The DiversiTech TMX390B2 is a three pole contactor rated 90 amps with a 120 volt coil, the largest rating in this series.

At 90 amps this contactor switches very substantial loads, and the energy involved in making and breaking that current is considerable. The arc drawn on opening carries real power, and the contactor's arc handling construction, its contact material, separation geometry, and arc barriers, is what contains it safely.

Two practical consequences follow. First, the device must never be operated with its barriers or cover damaged or removed, and a contactor showing physical damage to those parts should be replaced rather than returned to service. Second, working space and clearance around the contactor within the panel matters, both for the arc and for safe access.
