The DiversiTech 625-AF10 is a 10 inch inline duct fan rated at approximately 650 CFM, installed within a duct run to boost or establish airflow.

Inline duct fans solve airflow problems that cannot be corrected at the equipment. A long branch run, a room at the end of a trunk, an addition served by an extended duct, or a converted attic or basement space frequently receives inadequate air because the system blower cannot overcome the resistance of that particular path without over-supplying every other outlet. Installing a fan in the affected run raises airflow to that outlet without disturbing the balance of the system.

The same configuration serves dedicated ventilation duties: exhaust from bathrooms, kitchens, workshops, and equipment rooms where the fan must be located remotely from the grille, either because the run is long or because fan noise at the grille is unacceptable.

Placing the fan away from the terminal point is itself a benefit, since noise at the outlet is substantially reduced compared with a grille mounted fan.
