The H2O surfactant base is the specification that governs everything about how this product is used. Surfactant cleaning is not solvent cleaning: rather than dissolving soil, surfactants reduce the surface tension of water and lift contamination away so it can be rinsed or wiped off. The mechanism is gentler, works on a broad range of general soils, and is far more forgiving of the plastics, elastomers, and painted surfaces that aggressive solvents attack.
