Product Highlights
Description
The CRC14170 is a degreaser in a 20 oz aerosol with a 15 oz net fill, supplied 1 each with 12 per case. It is a clear, water-white liquid, classified flammable, with a flash point of 170 °F and a slow evaporation rate.
The 170 °F flash point paired with a slow evaporation rate describes a soak-type degreaser, and the two specifications work together. A degreaser that evaporates quickly never gets the chance to do chemical work — it wets the surface and leaves. This product is formulated to stay wet, penetrate into heavy accumulated grease and oil, and keep dissolving until the deposit releases. That dwell time is what removes baked-on soils from engines, gearboxes, chain drives, and machinery housings that a fast-flash cleaner merely dampens.
The relatively high flash point keeps the product in the flammable rather than extremely flammable class. That affects storage classification and permits use in areas where more volatile solvents are restricted, though precautions around ignition sources remain necessary.
The clear, water-white formulation leaves no staining on treated equipment.
The 20 oz can with 15 oz net fill provides the volume needed for coating a surface and letting it soak, which is how this product is meant to be used.
Applications include heavy equipment degreasing, engines, gearboxes, chassis and undercarriage, machinery, and general plant and fleet maintenance.
Confirm compatibility with plastics and painted surfaces before use and consult the manufacturer's SDS.
