The specific gravity of 0.72 places this in hydrocarbon rather than chlorinated chemistry — a distinction that carries real weight in a fabrication environment. Chlorinated degreasers require procedural separation from welding and cutting because their vapour decomposes into phosgene under an arc. A hydrocarbon degreaser has no such decomposition pathway. It trades that hazard for flammability, which is a risk most shops are already equipped to manage.
