CRC CRC03185 Degreaser 20 oz Clear/Colorless Aerosol

The CRC03185 is a degreaser in a 20 oz aerosol with a 14 oz net fill, supplied 1 each with 12 per case. It is a clear, colorless liquid classified extremely flammable, with a flash point below 0 °F, a fast evaporation rate, and a specific gravity of 0.72.

The specific gravity of 0.72 places this in hydrocarbon rather than chlorinated chemistry — a distinction that carries real weight in a fabrication environment. Chlorinated degreasers require procedural separation from welding and cutting because their vapour decomposes into phosgene under an arc. A hydrocarbon degreaser has no such decomposition pathway. It trades that hazard for flammability, which is a risk most shops are already equipped to manage.

The fast evaporation rate leaves parts dry and residue-free, suited to components going straight back into service.

The flash point below 0 °F is the operative hazard. Ignitable vapour is present at every storage and use temperature, and it is heavier than air — it accumulates in pits, sumps, drains, and low corners instead of dispersing. Eliminate ignition sources, ventilate the area, and never use this product where hot work is in progress.

The 20 oz can with 14 oz net fill gives working volume for genuine degreasing rather than spot cleaning.

Applications include general parts and equipment degreasing, machinery, tooling, engines, and maintenance work across manufacturing, fleet service, and plant operations.

Confirm plastic and elastomer compatibility before use and read the manufacturer's SDS in full.
