CRC CRC03130 Cleaner 16 oz Colorless Aerosol

The CRC03130 is a cleaner in a 16 oz aerosol with an 11 oz net fill, supplied 1 each with 12 per case. It is a colorless liquid classified extremely flammable, with a flash point of 16 °F and a very fast evaporation rate.

The very fast evaporation rate is the working specification. This is a flush cleaner: applied under pressure, it dissolves and carries contamination off the part, then evaporates almost immediately and leaves nothing behind. The absence of residue is the entire point. Parts that must go straight back into service, assemblies too tight to reach with a rag, and components where a film of anything would cause a problem all require a cleaner that leaves as cleanly as it arrives.

The 16 °F flash point sets the handling requirements, and they are not negotiable. Ignitable vapour is present well below room temperature, and being heavier than air it collects in low areas rather than dispersing. Welding, grinding, cutting, pilot lights, energised equipment, and static are all ignition sources that must be removed from the area. Confined spaces require ventilation before the can is opened.

The 11 oz net fill in a 16 oz can reflects the propellant volume needed to deliver a fast-flash solvent at usable pressure.
