CRC CRC03041 Lubricant 5 gal Clear/Water-White Pail Silicone Multi-Purpose

The CRC03041 is a food grade multi-purpose silicone lubricant supplied in a 5 gallon pail with a 5 gallon net fill. It is a clear, water-white liquid classified extremely flammable.

This is the bulk format of a food grade silicone lubricant, and the pail changes how the product is used rather than what it is. Aerosols are for spot application by a technician walking a line; a 5 gallon pail is for a facility that consumes silicone by volume — decanting into applicators, feeding automatic lubrication systems, dip and wipe application on assembly, or filling spray bottles for a maintenance crew. At that consumption rate, buying aerosols becomes both a cost and a waste-stream problem.

Food grade status governs where the product is permitted. Equipment in food processing where incidental product contact is possible requires a lubricant formulated and approved for that exposure — a compliance requirement, not a preference.

Silicone chemistry is the correct choice for the components food equipment is built from: rubber gaskets and seals, plastic chain and guide rails, belt scrapers, vinyl curtains, and plastic slides, all of which a petroleum lubricant would swell or degrade.
