The Williams SNPWSH-22 is a socket and tool set, 3/4 inch drive, 22 pieces, high-grade chrome vanadium steel, SAE.

Chrome vanadium is the specification and it is worth explaining, because it appears on tools constantly and almost nobody knows what it means.

Vanadium is an alloying element added in small amounts. What it does is refine the grain structure of the steel and form hard carbides, which raises strength and toughness together — normally those two move in opposite directions, and getting both is the trick. It also helps the steel respond predictably to heat treatment, which matters for consistency across a production run.

That combination is why chrome vanadium has been the standard hand tool steel for a century. It is strong enough for the torque, tough enough not to shatter, and it heat treats reliably.

What it is not is impact steel. Impact tools are chrome-molybdenum, heat treated further toward toughness. Chrome vanadium hand sockets on an impact gun shatter, and Williams' warranty says so directly.

Socket and tool set means this includes drive tools — ratchet, breaker bar, extensions — rather than sockets alone. At 3/4 inch drive that matters, because the drive tools are substantial items in their own right.
