Crescent CREAT28BK Adjustable Wrench Capacity Diameter Adjustable Max:1.125 Inch

The Crescent CREAT28BK is an adjustable wrench with a jaw capacity of 0 to 1.125 inches, finished in black oxide with a polished face. The handle is alloy steel, with a jaw length of 1 inch, a jaw width of 2.48 inches, and a jaw thickness of 0.3 inch.

The 1.125 inch capacity is the specification that positions this wrench. It reaches into the range where structural and heavy mechanical fasteners live, covering everything below it in a single tool — the reason an adjustable wrench remains in a bag that also holds a full socket set.

Jaw spread under load is the defining failure mode of any adjustable wrench, and it is what separates a working tool from one that rounds fasteners. The alloy steel construction and the 0.3 inch jaw thickness are the answer to it: thickness resists deflection, and alloy steel provides the strength to hold the jaw geometry when the wrench is loaded.

The trade-off is honest and worth understanding when choosing between wrenches in this range. A thicker jaw is stronger; a thinner jaw reaches into tighter positions. At 0.3 inch this wrench is built toward strength rather than access.

The black oxide finish with polished face resists corrosion and avoids the glare of a bright chrome tool in outdoor work.

Applications include mechanical assembly, plumbing, fleet and heavy equipment service, structural work, and general maintenance.

Users include mechanics, millwrights, plumbers, maintenance technicians, and construction trades.
