The shank designation is a system and it is worth decoding once, because it runs across this whole range.

Interchangeable torque heads come in shank sizes, and the shank size is a torque class. Reading across the heads here: J shanks are 0.425 inch and rated around 58 to 60 ft-lb. Y shanks are 0.560 inch and rated 99 to 160. X shanks are 0.735 inch and rated 240. Z shanks are dual-pin and rated 480.
