Williams SNPSDR-28-TH 3/8 X 8 Rd Slot Scrdr

The Williams SNPSDR-28-TH is a 3/8 x 8 inch round slotted screwdriver.

Note the TH suffix: in this range that denotes Williams' Tools@Height line, which is engineered for tool tethering. The source data does not say so, and it is the most important thing about the product. Verify against Williams' specification.

Tethering matters because a dropped tool is a leading cause of serious injury and fatality on any site with people working below people. A screwdriver falling several storeys arrives with more energy than a hard hat is rated to stop. ANSI/ISEA 121 governs the equipment, and a tool built for it has a designed, load-rated attachment point rather than tape and a cable tie — which is the distinction that matters, because an improvised attachment is not rated and can fail.

The round shank is the other specification. Round blades are the general pattern; square-shank drivers exist so a wrench can be applied to the blade for seized screws. This one cannot be turned with a wrench.

At 3/8 x 8 inches this is a large slotted driver, and large slotted drivers get abused — as chisels, as pry bars, as scrapers. Williams' own guidance is blunt about it: screwdrivers are not chisels.
