The Williams SNPPL-77C is a long nose plier, extra long nose with cutter, 7-1/2 inch overall length, 1-29/32 inch jaw length, diamond serrated jaws, double-dipped plastic handle.

The extra long nose is the specification and it is a trade, not an upgrade.

A long nose reaches into places a hand cannot — into an enclosure, behind a panel, down a chassis, into a terminal block. That reach is the entire point and it is genuinely irreplaceable.

What it costs is strength. The jaws are a cantilever, and a long cantilever flexes. Gripping something hard at the very tip of a long nose plier springs the jaws apart, and repeated hard use bends them permanently out of alignment — at which point the tips no longer meet and the tool cannot pick anything up. That is how long nose pliers die, and it happens to everyone once.

So they are a positioning and retrieval tool. Anything that needs real grip wants a plier with short jaws.
