Williams SNPJHW20678-TH Tools@Height Drilling Hammer 32 oz 10-1/4" 8-1/2"

The Williams SNPJHW20678-TH is a Tools@Height drilling hammer, 32 oz, fiberglass handle with cushion grip, 10-1/4 inch overall length, 8-1/2 inch handle.

The Tools@Height designation is the specification and it addresses one of the leading causes of serious injury on any site with people working above other people.

A dropped object does not need to be heavy. A 32 oz hammer falling from a few storeys arrives with enough energy to kill somebody wearing a hard hat — hard hats are rated for a specific impact, and a falling hammer exceeds it comfortably. Dropped tools are a top cause of fatality in construction, and the industry has developed a formal response: tool tethering, covered by ANSI/ISEA 121.

A Tools@Height tool is engineered for that system. It has a designed and load-rated attachment point built into the tool rather than tape and a cable tie wrapped around it, and the attachment does not compromise the tool's balance or strength. That distinction matters: a tether attached to an untested tool can fail, and an aftermarket attachment point is not rated.

The tool is only half the system. The tether, the anchor, and the worker's attachment all carry their own ratings, and the assembly is as good as its weakest part.

A drilling hammer is for star drills and masonry chisels.

Verify the tethering system specification.
