Note that the source calls this an extension. It is not — an extension has a square drive at both ends and carries no socket. This has a socket on it. What it appears to be is a long-shank socket: a 15 mm socket permanently on a 243 mm shank with a 1/2 inch drive. That is a distinct and useful product and the listing is describing the wrong one. Correct it, because a customer searching for an extension will buy this and get something else entirely.

What a long-shank socket does that an extension and socket cannot is fit where a joint will not. An extension plus a socket has a square connection between them, and that connection has a diameter — inside a deep recess or a narrow bore, the joint fouls the walls. A one-piece long-shank socket has no joint. It goes down the hole.

The stated 217 Nm maximum torque is worth noting: a stated torque limit on a socket is unusual and useful, and it exists because a 243 mm shank is a torsional spring.

Black oxide is a mild corrosion finish rather than an impact rating. Verify before using on a gun.
