Williams SNPBE-9881S Bahco 5 Pcs Insulated Ergo Screwdrr Set

The Williams SNPBE-9881S is a Bahco 5 piece insulated Ergo screwdriver set.

Note the brand split — Williams in the brand field, Bahco in the description.

Insulated is a certification rather than a description, and the distinction is a life-safety one.

An insulated screwdriver is designed and individually proof-tested to protect the user from electric shock when working on or near live conductors. The recognised standards specify a test voltage and a testing regime, and a tool carrying the mark has been through it. A screwdriver with a plastic handle has not. It looks the same, it costs a fraction, and it offers nothing — the handle is a grip, not a barrier.

Verify the certification and voltage rating on the tools themselves. This listing does not state them, and it is the specification the set exists for.

Two rules govern insulated tools in service. Inspect before every use: any nick, cut, crack, or piece of swarf embedded in the insulation removes the tool from service, because a breach is a conduction path and it does not have to be large. And they are not a licence to work live — insulated tools are the last defence for work that genuinely cannot be done de-energised.

The Ergo handle addresses the cumulative wrist and tendon load that ends trade careers.
