Description
The Williams SNP8072RUS is a Bahco black adjustable wrench, 10 inch.
Note the brand split — Williams in the brand field, Bahco in the description — consistent with the other Bahco items here.
Black is the specification distinguishing this from the chrome wrenches in the range, and it is worth stating the trade honestly rather than treating it as a colour.
A black phosphate or oxide finish is non-reflective, which matters in film, photography, optical, and laser work where a mirror-finished tool throws a reflection into whatever someone is looking at. It also hides the marks a working tool accumulates.
What it gives up is corrosion resistance. Chrome is a plated barrier and it is genuinely durable; a black finish is a converted surface layer and it is thinner protection. A black wrench in a damp box, a bilge, or an outdoor tool bag needs oiling and attention that a chromed one does not.
So the choice is the environment, not the budget.
The adjustable wrench rules apply regardless of finish. Set the jaw tight against the flats — play is what rounds a nut. And pull toward the movable jaw, so the force goes into the fixed jaw cast into the head rather than through the worm screw carrying the movable one.
Verify the specification — this listing is thin.
