Product Highlights
Description
The Williams SNP13625A is a construction adjustable wrench, 15 inch. Replaces SNP13625.
Note the replacement information: this supersedes SNP13625, which is useful for cross-referencing an existing order history.
Construction is the designation and it points at a different service than a bench or plumbing wrench sees. Ironwork and structural assembly is filthy, wet, cold, and done at height, on fasteners that are large, coated, and frequently not quite where they should be. A wrench in that environment is dropped, kicked, and used as a persuader, and it is handled with a gloved hand.
That work also has a specific pattern: structural bolting means many identical fasteners, tightened hard, with the tool taking full torque every time.
Which is why the adjustable wrench rule matters more here than anywhere. Pull toward the movable jaw. The fixed jaw is cast into the head and it is strong; the movable jaw is carried on a worm screw and it is not. Load it the wrong way at 15 inches of leverage on a structural bolt and the jaw opens, the wrench slips, and someone at height loses their balance as well as the fastener.
Set the jaw tight before pulling. Play is what rounds a nut.
