The Victor VCT0380-0215 is a machine cutting torch, MT 204A tip series, acetylene, 8-1/2 inch overall length, 7 inch cutting capacity, brass.

Machine is the specification and it defines a different tool from everything else in this range.

A hand torch has a handle, two valves the operator works by feel, and a lever for the cutting oxygen. It is designed to be held, aimed, and adjusted continuously by a person watching the cut.

A machine torch has none of that. It is a straight barrel designed to be clamped into a track burner, a pantograph, or a CNC table. The gas settings are made once and left; the machine controls travel speed and standoff far more consistently than a hand ever could.

Which is the whole point. Cut quality on oxy-fuel is overwhelmingly a function of consistent travel speed and consistent standoff, and a machine holds both perfectly for a hundred feet of plate. A hand-cut edge frequently needs grinding; a machine-cut edge frequently does not.

The straight barrel also means the torch enters the work square, which is what produces a genuinely perpendicular cut.

At 7 inch capacity this is heavy plate.

The MT 204A tip series is the fitment and it is not interchangeable with hand torch tips.

Acetylene: never above 15 psi.
