The Victor VCT0331-0002 is a 101 cutting tip, size 000, acetylene, copper, 1/8 inch cutting capacity.
Note that this catalogue lists another tip with byte-identical specifications — 101, size 000, acetylene, copper, 1/8 inch — under a part number in the 0330 series. Two part numbers cannot describe the same product. Since every other tip in the 0330 series is brass and every tip in the 0331 series is copper, the likely error is on the other row rather than this one. Verify against Victor and correct.
Copper is the material here, and the reason it is used on cutting tips is conductivity.
A cutting tip sits inside its own preheat flames. It has to move that heat away into the torch head rather than accumulating it, because a tip that gets too hot distorts — and a distorted orifice cuts a bevel that no setting will fix. Copper conducts better than brass, which is why it has traditionally been the tip material.
Brass is tougher and cheaper to machine, which is the other side of the trade.
At size 000 this is the smallest tip made, for 1/8 inch material. Oxy-fuel is a poor process on thin steel — it distorts and blows away — so this is for precision on light section rather than sheet work.
Acetylene: never above 15 psi.
