Product Highlights
Description
The Victor VCT0323-0260 is a heating nozzle, for acetylene and hydrogen, tip size 10, brass.
Note that this row is missing fields the comparable heating nozzles in this range carry: no MFA series designation and no type. Both are present on the size 6, 8, and 12 nozzles. Add them — the series is what determines torch compatibility, and it is the thing a customer needs.
At size 10 this is a large rosebud, and the material note is worth taking seriously: brass.
A heating nozzle sits in a broad flame and it gets hot. Brass conducts heat away from the tip into the torch, which is what keeps the nozzle itself from reaching a temperature where it distorts or erodes. That is why torch tips are brass and copper rather than steel — the conductivity is a working requirement, not a cost decision.
The rosebud's job is spreading heat over a mass rather than concentrating it. That is preheat, bending, straightening, shrinking, and freeing seized fasteners.
The limit that bites at this size is acetylene withdrawal. Acetylene is dissolved in acetone in the cylinder, and drawing it faster than roughly a tenth of the cylinder's capacity per hour pulls acetone out with the gas. A large rosebud can exceed a single cylinder. Manifold them.
Never above 15 psi. Acetylene decomposes explosively above that.
