The Tweco TWE1240-1424 is a 24CT nozzle, 5/8 inch tip bore, 1.75 inch tip length, 5/32 inch tip recess.

The 1.75 inch tip length is worth reading against the 3.2 inch nozzles elsewhere in this range, because it is a substantially shorter nozzle and that is the point.

A short nozzle gets into places. Welding in a corner, inside a box section, between close members, or at an awkward angle, the nozzle's own length is what fouls — and a nozzle that cannot reach the joint is not welding anything. Nearly half the length is a real difference in access.

It also improves visibility. The welder is looking past the nozzle at the puddle, and less nozzle means more puddle.

The trade is gas coverage and heat. A short nozzle puts less shielding column over the weld, and it puts the nozzle's end closer to the arc, where it takes more heat and collects more spatter.

The CT designation is Tweco's thread-on style — the nozzle screws onto the diffuser rather than slipping over it. Thread-on is more secure and it makes better electrical and thermal contact, which matters at high duty cycle.

The 5/32 inch recess is fixed by the design.

Verify the gun series. Consumables are a matched system and mixing them causes gas leaks.
