The Victor VCT0323-0252 is an MFA heating nozzle, for acetylene and hydrogen, heating type, tip size 8, one piece.

At size 8 this is a substantial rosebud and it is worth being specific about the acetylene withdrawal limit, because this is where people meet it.

Acetylene is not a compressed gas. The cylinder is packed with a porous mass saturated with acetone, and the acetylene is dissolved in the acetone — because compressing acetylene is exactly what the molecule cannot survive. The gas comes out of solution as pressure drops.

That process has a rate limit. The accepted figure is that acetylene should not be drawn faster than about one-seventh to one-tenth of the cylinder's capacity per hour. Exceed it and acetone comes out with the gas — which contaminates the flame, damages regulators and hoses, and reduces the cylinder's capacity permanently.

A large rosebud draws a great deal of gas. It is entirely possible for one heating nozzle to exceed a single cylinder's safe withdrawal rate, and the answer is a manifold of cylinders rather than a bigger cylinder.

That is a real limit that catches people out on heating work, and nobody prints it.

The 15 psi rule remains absolute: above it, acetylene decomposes explosively with no oxygen involved.
