The Thermal Dynamics THD9-8210 is a 60A standoff cutting tip for the SL60 torch, 5 per pack, priced per each.

Two specifications here are absolute and worth stating plainly.

The 60A rating is the first. Plasma consumables are amperage-matched, and the match is not a recommendation. A tip's orifice is sized so the arc passes through it with a specific gas flow at a specific current — that flow is what keeps the arc off the copper. Run a 60A tip at 80 amps and the arc is too large for the orifice. It contacts the copper, and the tip erodes in minutes rather than hours. The cut quality goes with it: a worn orifice loses its round shape, and a non-round orifice cuts a bevel.

Standoff is the second and it is a technique specification. A standoff tip is held a defined distance off the plate — usually with a guide — rather than resting on it. A drag tip is designed to touch. They are not interchangeable, and using a standoff tip as a drag tip destroys it.

Consumables are a matched set: tip, electrode, swirl ring, shield. Replacing one and reusing worn others is false economy — a worn electrode ruins a new tip.
