Nidec/Emerson Motor Direct Drive ECM 1-1/3 HP EZ-16

The Nidec/Emerson 5860 is an EZ-16 series direct drive ECM blower motor rated 1-1/3 horsepower for indoor blower applications in large air handling equipment.

The EZ-16 designation identifies a larger frame in Nidec's universal ECM replacement range, covering horsepower ratings above what the EZ-13 platform serves. At 1-1/3 horsepower this motor addresses large residential and light commercial air handlers, high-static systems, and equipment where the blower must deliver airflow well beyond typical residential requirements.

Motors at this rating draw meaningful current, and the electrical supply to the blower circuit should be verified against the motor nameplate rather than assumed adequate because the previous motor ran.
