Klein Tools KLT5415L Large Tool Belt Heavy-duty embossed leather 2" wide

The Klein Tools KLT5415L is a large tool belt in heavy-duty embossed leather, 2 inch wide, sized 40 to 48 inch.

A tool belt is load-bearing equipment and the width is the specification that decides whether it works. Two inches spreads the weight of a loaded belt across the hips rather than concentrating it on a line — and a working belt carries real weight. A narrow belt under load digs in, rides up, and produces the back and hip complaints that tradespeople accept as inevitable and are not.

Leather is the traditional material and it earns its place through a property synthetic belts do not have: it takes a set. A leather belt breaks in to the wearer's shape and stays there, which is why an old belt is more comfortable than a new one and why tradespeople keep them for decades. Synthetic webbing does not break in; it stays as made.

The trade is weight and the need to keep leather from drying out.

Embossing is decorative and functional at once — it stiffens the surface.

The 40 to 48 inch sizing is a range rather than a fixed length, and getting it right matters more than usual: a belt worn at the wrong length either sags under load or cannot be adjusted over a jacket in winter.

Applications include electrical, carpentry, ironwork, and general construction.
