Irwin IRW2083200 Carbon Blade 100 pack 2-5 Days

The Irwin IRW2083200 is a carbon utility blade, supplied in a 100 pack.

Carbon steel is the specification and it is a deliberate economic choice rather than a compromise. Carbon blades take a very keen edge and cut cleanly, and they cost little. What they do not do is hold that edge as long as a bi-metal blade. The correct way to use them follows directly: change them often.

That is genuinely the right practice regardless of blade type, and the 100 pack exists to support it. A dull utility blade is a safety problem before it is a quality problem — a dull blade needs more force, more force means less control, and less control is how utility knives cause the hand lacerations they are notorious for. A blade costs pennies; a stitched hand costs a day and a claim.

The 100 pack removes the excuse. When blades are scarce, people run them dull; when there is a box of a hundred on the shelf, they change them.

Standard utility blades fit essentially any utility knife, which is what makes them a commodity worth buying deep.

Applications include construction, packaging and shipping, insulation and drywall, carpet and flooring, and general trades.

Dispose of used blades in a proper sharps container, not a bin.
