DiversiTech Transformer 75A Footmount PF52475

The DiversiTech PF52475 is a 75 VA control transformer in a foot mount configuration.

Transformer polarity and the interconnection of multiple transformers deserve attention, because errors here produce failures that are both immediate and confusing.

Where two transformers supply parts of the same system, their secondaries must not be connected together unless they are deliberately phased and the arrangement is intended. Connecting the secondaries of two transformers that are out of phase places the sum of their voltages across the circuit, which destroys components immediately.

This arises in practice when an accessory is fitted with its own transformer and its control circuit is then connected to the equipment's control circuit, or when a zone panel with its own supply is interconnected with equipment.
