DiversiTech Service Tool Swoosh Double Shot SG-2KIT

The DiversiTech SG-2KIT Swoosh Double Shot is a drain line clearing kit for condensate systems.

Approaching a blocked condensate drain systematically saves time and prevents the collateral damage that hurried clearing causes.

The first step is confirming the diagnosis. Water in the pan with a dry drain line indicates a blockage or a trap problem. Water in the pan with the line flowing indicates the pan itself is not draining, which usually means it is not level or the outlet is above the water line.

The second is identifying where the blockage is. A line that will not accept water at the equipment end is blocked near the equipment. A line that accepts water but does not discharge is blocked further along.

The third is checking the trap. A trap that is dry, incorrectly formed, or inadequate for the pressure at the connection point produces a pan that overflows with a completely clear line, and no amount of clearing will fix it.

Only then is clearing the appropriate action, and it should be done with controlled pressure and with the discharge end checked.

The fourth step, which is skipped most often, is preventing recurrence through treatment and by correcting slope or trap faults found during the work.

Confirm the kit's fittings suit the drain sizes encountered, wear eye protection, and verify free flow afterward.
