DiversiTech Service Tool Cone Tip 3/4 With Male Thread

The DiversiTech CK-141 is a 3/4 inch cone tip with male thread, used as a connection adapter for drain line clearing equipment.

Cone tips provide a seal against the open end of a drain line so that pressure can be applied without escaping around the connection.

The design addresses a practical problem. Condensate drain lines come in a range of sizes and materials, and the accessible end is often a cut pipe, a fitting socket, or a cleanout of uncertain dimension. A conical tip seats against whatever opening it meets, sealing across a range of sizes with a single component.

Pressing the cone firmly into the opening while applying gas is what maintains the seal, and the force required increases with the pressure applied.

That relationship is worth respecting. A cone that is pushed harder to hold against higher pressure can slip suddenly, and a tip released under pressure will move quickly and spray whatever was in the line.

Applying moderate pressure in short bursts, rather than sustained high pressure, is both safer and generally more effective at dislodging an obstruction.

The male thread allows the tip to be fitted to a blow gun, hose, or gas supply, and thread compatibility should be confirmed against the equipment in use.

Confirm the cone size suits the drain lines encountered and the thread matches the equipment. Wear eye protection, and clear the area at the discharge end before applying pressure.
