The Coxreels CXREZ-TSH-550-DF-BBX is a T-DEF series hose reel carrying 50 feet of hose at 3/4 inch inside diameter and 1 1/8 inch outside diameter. It is rated to 300 psi, constructed in steel with a powder coated finish, on a dual pedestal design, with EZ-Coil® drive.

The T-DEF designation identifies this as a reel built for Diesel Exhaust Fluid, and DEF is a fluid that punishes the wrong equipment. DEF is a urea solution that is corrosive to many common metals, crystallises when it dries, and is easily contaminated — and contaminated DEF damages the SCR system it is dispensed into, which is an expensive failure on a modern diesel. A DEF-specific reel is built with wetted components suited to the fluid rather than repurposed from an oil reel.

The 3/4 inch inside diameter is a high-flow specification, sized for dispensing volume rather than trickling it.

The dual pedestal design supports the reel on both sides — the correct configuration for a heavier reel carrying 50 feet of large-bore hose, where a single pedestal would be carrying the load in cantilever.
