CLC Tool Bag 23 Pocket 1528

The CLC 1528 is a 23 pocket tool bag for hand tool storage and transport.

Open top and closed top bags each have a case, and the choice depends on where the work happens.

Open top bags give immediate access. Tools are visible, reaching one requires no zip or flap, and returning it is equally quick. For work in a plant room or a controlled environment this is efficient.

The disadvantages are exposure and retention. An open bag left outdoors collects rain, and tools tip out if the bag is knocked over or carried at an angle. On a roof or in a vehicle, both matter.

Closed bags protect the contents from weather and retain them when the bag moves, at the cost of an extra action each time a tool is taken or returned.

Many technicians resolve this by using a closed bag for transport and storage and working from a pouch or an open tray at the point of work.

Weather protection is worth more than it appears. Tools that get wet corrode, instruments can be destroyed, and a bag that has been rained into holds water in its base for days.

Confirm the closure type suits the working environment, that the capacity and pocket arrangement match the kit, and that the construction will withstand being set down on rough surfaces regularly.
