CLC 4-Pocket Cell Pouch 1501

The CLC 1501 is a four pocket pouch for carrying a phone and small items.

Phones have become working tools in this trade rather than personal items. Equipment documentation, wiring diagrams, parts lookup, refrigerant charts, photographs of nameplates and existing installations, and communication with the office and the customer all run through them.

That makes protecting and retaining the phone a practical concern rather than a personal one.

The hazards are specific. Phones fall from ladders and roofs. They are dropped into equipment cabinets and condensate pans. They are damaged by being carried in a pocket while kneeling or crawling. And they are left behind at jobs.

A dedicated pouch worn on a belt addresses most of this, keeping the device secured, accessible, and out of the way during work.

Photographs deserve mention as a technique. Photographing a nameplate before working, an existing wiring arrangement before disconnecting, and the condition of equipment on arrival takes seconds and repeatedly proves useful. The nameplate photograph in particular saves return trips when ordering parts.

Additional pockets suit small items that are otherwise lost: markers, a torch, spare bits, and fasteners.

Confirm the pouch suits the device size and the belt or harness used, and that it secures the phone adequately for work at height.
