Description
The LFKPQR1316N is a Quickread tape, yellow clad blade finish, 16 ft blade length, steel blade, A3 blade style, 0.75 inch blade width, SAE, 1.8 inch overall height, 5.9 inch overall length.
The Quickread family name refers to the graduation scheme, and it addresses a genuine source of error. On a conventional tape, the fractions between the inch marks are unlabelled — the user counts the lines to work out whether they are looking at 5/8 or 11/16. Everyone does it, everyone is fast at it, and everyone occasionally gets it wrong, particularly in poor light, at a distance, or late in a shift.
A Quickread blade labels the fractions directly. There is no counting and no interpretation. For anyone who does not read tapes all day — apprentices, occasional users, or anyone working overhead where the blade is far from their eyes — that is a measurable reduction in mistakes.
Yellow clad is the blade finish and it is a durability treatment: a hard bonded coating over the graduations that resists the abrasion which wears printed blades unreadable. Yellow also gives contrast, which supports the same readability argument.
At 16 ft with a 0.75 inch blade this is a general-purpose length with useful standout.
Applications include carpentry, construction, general trades, and any environment with mixed experience levels.
