APEX LFKPHV1425DN Power Tape 25 ft Steel Clearcoat A4 1 Inch SAE 2.15 Inch

The LFKPHV1425DN is a Power Tape, A4 blade style, steel blade, clearcoat finish, 25 ft blade length, 1 inch blade width, SAE, 2.15 inch overall height, 6.75 inch overall length, 4.8 inch overall width, 10 ft reach, locking.

Twenty-five feet with a 1 inch blade and 10 ft of reach is the working combination for construction, and the reach figure is the one that matters. Reach is standout — how far the blade projects unsupported before it buckles. Ten feet means one person measures a room, a ceiling height, or a span without help.

That capability comes from blade width. A 1 inch blade curves more deeply in section than a narrow one, and that curve is what makes it rigid. It is the same principle as a corrugated sheet.

The lock is the other specification and it is more important than it looks. A tape without a positive lock retracts the moment attention moves — which is exactly when the measurement is being transferred to a pencil. A lock holds the reading so the hand can leave the tape.

Twenty-five feet is the general construction length: long enough for most spans, short enough to carry.

Clearcoat protects printed graduations. It is lighter and less costly than a clad blade and it wears faster under abrasion — a consideration for a tape used outdoors daily.

Applications include framing, construction layout, and general trades.
