APEX LFKPHV1316N Power Tape 16 ft Steel Clearcoat A2 0.75 Inch SAE 1.8 Inch

The LFKPHV1316N is a Power Tape, A2 blade style, steel blade, clearcoat finish, 16 ft blade length, 0.75 inch blade width, SAE, 1.8 inch overall height, 5.85 inch overall length, 3.75 inch overall width, rawhide case.

Sixteen feet is the length that matters most in construction, and the reason is not arbitrary. It spans a room. It covers a standard wall, a sheet of plywood laid out, a stud wall's full run of layout. Most importantly, a 16 ft tape reaches the far side of ordinary rooms without a second person — which is why it became the default carpenter's tape.

That default depends on standout. A tape only reaches unaided as far as the blade projects before it folds, and blade width is what governs that: a wider blade curves more in section, which makes it stiffer. At 0.75 inch this blade has real standout, which is what makes 16 ft usable alone.

The A2 blade style governs the graduation layout — what intervals are marked and how they read. Two tapes of the same length can read differently, and tradespeople work by feel with a familiar layout.

Clearcoat is the blade finish: a protective layer over printed graduations. Lighter and cheaper than a clad blade, and it wears faster on abrasive work.

Applications include framing, carpentry, layout, and general construction.

Users include carpenters, builders, and finish trades.
