APEX LFKFE300D Fiberglass Tape 300 ft C2 0.5 Inch SAE 4 1.7 Inch 17.9 Inch

The LFKFE300D is a fiberglass tape, 300 ft blade length, fiberglass blade, C2 blade style, 0.5 inch blade width, SAE, 4 arms, 1.7 inch overall height, 17.9 inch overall length, 12 inch overall width.

At 300 ft this is the long tape in the range, and length changes what the tool is for. A 100 ft tape measures a building. A 300 ft tape measures a site — property boundaries, road runs, service routes, and the distances that would otherwise need a wheel or an instrument.

Fiberglass is the material and the reason is electrical before anything else. A 300 ft steel tape is 300 feet of conductor being carried across ground that may have overhead lines above it. That is a documented electrocution mechanism in utility and construction work. Fiberglass does not conduct, which is why it is standard for anyone working near power.

Fiberglass also refuses to kink, where a steel tape is permanently damaged wherever it gets sharply bent or stepped on.

The limitation is worth stating plainly and it grows with length: fiberglass stretches under tension. Over 300 ft, inconsistent pull produces inconsistent readings. For layout and general measurement that is fine. For precision at distance, steel is more stable and an instrument is better than either.

The 4-arm reel gives purchase for winding, which at 300 ft is genuine work.

Applications include site layout, surveying, utilities, and roadworks.
