The Weldas ADP44-2028XL is the size XL pair in the Alliance Standard cape sleeves range, in golden brown leather with an open-back design.

Cape sleeves exist because a full leather jacket is often more garment than the work requires. They protect the arms, shoulders, and upper chest — the zone that actually takes spatter during most bench and bench-adjacent welding — while the open back lets heat escape. In a warm shop, that difference decides whether the garment stays on the welder or ends up on the bench.

The XL size gives a longer, wider cut across the shoulders and arms, which matters for reach: a sleeve that is short at the cuff on a taller welder exposes the wrist exactly when the arm is extended.

The sleeves are fully Kevlar sewn, so the seams hold up under the spatter that would burn through conventional thread. Adjustable snap cuffs let the wearer close the sleeve down onto the glove. Riveted stress points reinforce the high-load areas. A roll-up collar adds neck coverage on overhead work, and hook and loop closures make the garment quick to put on and strip off.

Suited to MIG, stick, and TIG welding, plasma and torch cutting, grinding, foundry work, and general fabrication.
