The TPI TPIU18TE is a mounted industrial workstation fan, 120 V, 18 inch, 3,200/4,200/4,600 CFM, single phase, 2.2 A, 1370/1550/1660 RPM, mountable on wall, ceiling, work bench or machine, AC motor, 5/16 inch shaft, steel guard, aluminium blade, 1/8 HP, 20-1/2 x 20-1/2 x 10-1/2 inch.

Workstation is the specification and it defines the design intent: this fan cools a person, not a building.

That distinction changes what matters. Ventilating a space is about volume — total air moved, air changes per hour. Cooling a person is about velocity across skin, because moving air removes heat by convection and by accelerating evaporation. A person feels air speed, not CFM.

Which means a small fan close to somebody outperforms a large fan across the room, comfortably. Twenty feet away, a big circulator's airflow has spread and slowed; at three feet, an 18 inch fan is a wind.
