Airmaster AIM78933 Fan Barrel Fan Belt Drive Mancooler 42" LC42BD 1 Hp

The Airmaster AIM78933 is a 42" belt drive barrel fan, model LC42BD, configured as a Mancooler for high-volume air movement across large industrial spaces.

The fan runs a 1 HP motor on single-phase power with two-speed operation. Rated output is 13,036 CFM at 600 RPM on high and 11,850 CFM at 520 RPM on low. Those CFM figures are the reason a barrel fan exists: this is not a comfort fan but a volume mover, sized to shift the air in a bay rather than to cool a workstation.

The belt drive configuration is the significant specification. Belt drive separates the motor from the fan blade, allowing the blade to turn at a speed suited to air movement while the motor runs at its own rated speed. It also isolates the motor from blade-borne vibration and makes the drive serviceable — a belt is a wear item that can be replaced without touching the motor.

The barrel housing surrounds the blade and directs the airflow into a column rather than letting it disperse at the blade tip, which is what gives a fan of this type its throw across distance.

Applications include manufacturing floors, warehouses and distribution centres, foundries and forges, fabrication shops, agricultural buildings, drying and curing operations, construction sites, and any facility using spot cooling and general air movement for heat relief.

Model LC42BD. Where the same duty must be mounted rather than floor-standing, other configurations in the Airmaster range cover that requirement.
