The ODP motor enclosure is the specification to read carefully, because it is a limitation stated in three letters.

ODP means open drip proof. The motor is open to the air for cooling, with the openings arranged so that liquid falling vertically cannot get in. That is a specific and narrow protection: it handles a drip from above and nothing else. Dust gets in. Splashing gets in. Humid or corrosive atmospheres get in. Washdown destroys it.

Which means an ODP blower belongs in a reasonably clean, dry indoor space. A dusty plant, a wet process area, or anywhere subject to washdown needs a TEFC motor — totally enclosed, fan cooled — and that is a different unit.

That is worth flagging because a blower is frequently bought precisely for a nasty environment, and ODP is the wrong motor for a nasty environment.

At 13,500 CFM on high this moves substantial air. Belt drive is what keeps the motor out of that airstream, which is why belt drive blowers handle hot and contaminated air where direct drive cannot.

The 8 ft cord is short. Plan the placement, and note that extension cords on a 6.5 A motor need sizing.
