The TIG Finger TGFWM-TF-1 is a Weldmonger TIG Finger heat shield for hand protection.

The TIG Finger is a simple product solving a problem every TIG welder has and most just endure.

TIG welding needs a steady hand. The way a welder gets one is by resting it on the work — bracing against the plate, the fixture, or the joint, so the torch moves with control rather than being held in mid-air. That bracing is the difference between a clean bead and a wandering one.

The problem is that the work is hot. Not warm — hot enough that a TIG glove, which is deliberately thin for dexterity, provides seconds of protection. So the welder braces, gets burned, pulls away, and the bead suffers. Then they do it again.

The TIG Finger is a woven ceramic-fibre sleeve that slides over the glove's fingers and the side of the hand. It takes the heat and lets the hand stay put.

That is the whole product, and its value is entirely in what it enables: a welder who can rest their hand on hot metal welds better than one who cannot.

It slides on and off and it repositions to wherever the contact is.
