The Spilfyter NPSU1PM150 is an NPS Essentials 30 inch x 150 ft universal single-ply sorbent roll, perforated, medium weight, grey, single-ply meltblown polypropylene, 30 gallon absorbency, 1 roll per case.

Medium weight universal on a roll is the general housekeeping product: laid along a machine, under a line, or across a walkway to keep a floor from becoming a slip hazard rather than to respond to a spill. The perforation lets a length be torn off rather than committing the roll.

Medium weight is right for that. The pad is being replaced on a schedule, so capacity is not the constraint, and heavy weight would be paying for absorbency nobody uses.

Universal means the polypropylene is treated to take water-based liquids as well as hydrocarbons, which is what an interior floor needs where the liquid could be anything. Grey is the universal colour; white is oil only.

The trade is that universal fills with rain outdoors and sinks on water. Weather and marine work need oil only.

Saturated sorbents are hazardous waste.
