The FyterTech NPSOSOCK34-12 is a set of NPS Essentials 3 inch x 4 ft oil only sorbent socks, 12.5 gallon absorbency, white, 12 per box.

A sock does a different job from a pad and confusing the two is the most common mistake in spill response.

Pads absorb. Socks contain. The correct sequence when something is running across a floor is to ring it first — lay socks around the perimeter and stop it spreading — and only then absorb what is inside the ring. Reversing that means chasing a spill that keeps getting bigger, and a spill that reaches a drain has stopped being a housekeeping matter and become a regulatory one.

The flexible tube form is what lets a sock follow a floor's contours, curl into a corner, and seal against an uneven surface where a pad would bridge and leak underneath.

They are also the standard way to ring a machine or a drum permanently, catching leaks before they travel.

Oil only means the polypropylene is untreated and hydrophobic: it repels water and takes hydrocarbons. That matters outdoors, where a universal sock fills with rain and stops working. White is oil only across this range; grey is universal.
